TIME

I LOOK IN THE MIRROR
AND WHAT DO I SEE
THE REFLECTION OF A WITCH
LOOKING BACK AT ME

NO SPARKLE IN HER EYES
ONLY DESPAIR IN HER CRY
TO SAY "THAT'S NOT ME"
WOULD ONLY BE A LIE.

AND WHEN I ASK THAT REFLECTION I SEE
"WHAT IN THE WORLD HAS HAPPENED TO ME?"
THE WITCH IN THE MIRROR WHISPERS SO SOMBERLY....

"DON'T YOU REMEMBER THE LAST FEW YEARS?
DON'T YOU REMEMBER CRYING ALL THOSE TEARS?
DON'T YOU REMEMBER THE HURT AND THE PAIN
THAT SEEMS TO COME AGAIN AND AGAIN?"

IT'S LEFT ITS MARK IN THE LINES ON MY FACE
SOMETHING THAT TIME JUST CAN NOT ERASE
BUT TIME DOES SEEM TO EASE THE PAIN
AND LOVE BRINGS SUNSHINE INSTEAD OF RAIN

ALL OF THE HURT AND ALL OF THE SORROW
WILL THERE EVER BE ANOTHER TOMORROW?
WILL I EVER LOOK IN THAT MIRROR AND SEE
A SMILING RED WITCH LOOKING BACK AT ME?

RED WITCH

The Beauty of a Woman

The beauty of a woman, isn't in the clothes she wears,
The figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair.

The beauty of a woman, must be seen from in her eyes
Because that's the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides.

The beauty of a woman, isn't in a facial mole,
but true beauty in a woman, is reflected by her soul.

It's the caring that she cares to give,
the passion that she shows.

And the beauty of a woman, with passing years, only grows.

THE ROGUE

Soul less man that reeks deception
never one to feel redemption
comes upon me with intention
"Oh had he never seen me there!"

Yet he awakens pure desire
the dew of lust he will inspire
of flesh and bone I do admire
"laughing eyes beyond compare"

Bodies twisting, writhing motions
tempting whispers of devotion
slowly rising to explosion
"lost from grace, I did despair"

A taste of pleasure
an urgent need
a succulent treasure
the demon's seed

Guide me to a secret place
seduce me with your angelic face
come the morrow, you leave no trace
"Seek the Rake no more! Beware!"

Teardrop

Crystal droplet sliding down roughened skin
Colored rays of light shining from within
Liquid pearl drawn ever down by gravity
A track that glistens brightly for no one to see

Could it be the sadness of love gone awry?
Or perhaps the lover given to painful lie?
The enduring loneliness of a man’s inner cry?
The pain of a man’s dreams as they slowly die?

Ravaged emotions spent alone and apart
A heart torn by jealousy’s wicked dart
The dam of passions held in until the tear’s flow
Never seen, never heard, no one ever to know

How Much

Being apart brings more problems
than most couples face
It seems to breed dishonesty and mistrust
and leads to a place
Where all the heartache and pain
Where all the deception and lies
Will test the love
to see if it can survive
There are always new problems
Theres blame being placed
Just how much can love conquor
How much hurt can it take
Can he live with the knowledge
that she doesn't quite trust
Can she live with the knowledge
he blames her so much
Will the love survive
Will it continue to bloom
Is it strong enough
or is it doomed
