I PLEDGE ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, AND TO THE REPUBLIC FOR WHICH IT STANDS, ONE NATION UNDER GOD, INDIVISIBLE, WITH LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL.
Due to a court ruling on Wednesday, June 26, 2002, the United States Pledge of Allegiance is "under fire." Because I believe in a Supreme living God, because I am proud and thankful to be an American, and because I want to give God the glory for our wonderful nation, the United States of America, I wish to show my personal patriotic spirit in keeping our Pledge as it already was and should be.
My husband Jim is a Viet Nam vet. He is also a strong Christian! Put those two facts together and it explains why he came to me Thursday morning, June 27th, and asked me to make him a patriotic graphic with "ONE NATION UNDER GOD" on it. Thus was born my flag graphics below. I shared the graphic with all of my American friends in my address book and the graphic got quite a lot of attention.
Among the people who I shared it with was Susan Fahncke, who is owner of 2theheart.com.
Susan in return wrote me back and asked could she use it on her site for that following (June 28th) issue of 2theheart.com. I very willingly said "yes," and that very afternoon I got a wonderful email from Marty Fahncke asking if he could also use it on his commercial (discount retail) site, thane.com, which he said gets 30,000 visitors PER DAY. He also stated to me that it had been confirmed that the flag graphic would be used at another discount commercial (retail) site, called youcansave.com.
Marty also told me that a close friend of his at Hewlett-Packard may also be interested in using it, but I have not heard more on that information at this time. I feel very blessed, and it is with HONOR that I share this flag with you, and I hope you will be glad to use it and proudly display it, either at your website or for personal use!
Michelle Jones of BLESSINGS FOR LIFE.COM is another web friend who received my flag graphic, but she was away on vacation until Monday, July 1st. However, when Michelle got her email, she immediately placed the flag on two of her busiest sites, Blessings for Life and
Better Budgeting. I feel so very inspired to personally see Americans rallying in this way!!!
You are welcome to use any of these U.S. flag graphics to express your American patriotic pride and to help promote ONE NATION UNDER GOD in our
Pledge of Allegiance! Please keep in mind that I truly enjoy receiving your email comments.
Below you will see several flag graphics, different sizes and two different fonts. There are a couple of smaller versions that will show all of the flag on your screen, then some larger versions.
The first of the larger flag graphics should fit two onto a regular sheet of paper, depending upon the graphic program you use and how you arrange them. I prefer to print mine on white card stock paper, one above the other. Your printer setting would be the photo (default) setting for this image.
The largest flag graphics should fit SIDEWAYS onto a sheet of regular card stock or photo paper, so you will have to set your printer for LANDSCAPE to make it print sideways (or rotate the photo sideways and print it on your default photo setting).
TO COPY/PASTE THE FLAG GRAPHICS:
With your mouse, put the cursor on the photo you care to copy. RIGHT CLICK the mouse and when the menu opens on your screen, click "SAVE AS" option. You may have to name the image then save it to your harddrive. If you "lose" the image, remember you can always go to START/DOCUMENTS, and the last documents you have saved should show up. (They do for me in Windows 98.)
If you still need help copying the pictures, please contact me by clicking HERE.
but be sure you put FLAG GRAPHIC in the SUBJECT LINE of your email, otherwise I do not open email I do not recognize.
