"Daddy's Little Girl"
I was born in the spring of ’77,
My daddy’s heart and my momma’s heaven.
I fulfilled my daddy’s hopes and dreams,
In his eyes I could do anything.
I was then the center of his world,
I was my daddy’s little girl.
With my birth his love for me was clearly true,
He would be by my side as I grew.
When I succeed he praised me,
When I failed he always understood.
And with his blessing,
I always knew I could.
I see now as my life goes on,
He sees I’m going to eventually move on.
But no matter where I go, or what I do,
I know his love will follow me through.
Because, to him I’m still the world,
I’ll always be my daddy’s little girl.
