"What Do They Hear?"
They hear a bird on the wing,
They hear a tear fall from a baby eye,
And all we hear is a baby's cry.
The pitfalls of life come crashing down,
They hear them fall and hit the ground.
They hear with their eyes, not their ears,
The only thing they can't hear is sound.
They hear the beauty of life alone,
and hear the words of lives love song.
This is unlike you and me,
They hear the things we are too blind to see.
To hear the world, they stop and stair,
And search for the beauty through the glare.
So when you see something new,
Stop and try to understand.
If you listen really close
The language things speak is mighty grand.
Because if you stop and try to hear,
The message to you can be clear.
If you could only see what they hear.
