I sit in my room alone at night
wondering if what I'm doing is right
I think of us, our future life
I dream of the day you make me your wife.
My mind wonders in a world of its own
a world where I am never alone
you are there with me, never leaving my side
with a look of longing and love in you eyes.
To feel your touch, your breath on my neck,
your gentle kiss on these I reflect
To be held in your arms as I drift off to sleep
To awake knowing your mine to keep.
The word I use to express myself
doesn't begin to describe
the love I feel for you my dear
It can't ever be denied.
Your my life, my world, my heart
I will never leave your side
To you my heart will be forever true
About this I could never lie.
Until the day I can comfort you
and hold you in my arms
May the Lord watch over you my love
And the angels keep you from harm
So as you lie alone my love
and dream of me tonight
Lay your hand upon your heart
and feel the beat of life.
But not only do you feel the beat of yours
You feel the beat of mine
And together they will forever beat
In a loving rhythmic time
