"Party"
I was siting in the living room watching TV;
When my mother hollered out "Honey were leaving."
I hollered back "OK have fun,"
I heard the door slam, I knew they were gone.
I got on the phone and I called Marcy,
Then I heard the darn dog barking.
I looked out the window and what did I see,
My daddy was down on his hands and knees.
He was changing the tire,
and the guys would be here in less than an hour.
I grabbed the phone and told Marcy good bye
and ran to the door to find out why.
"Mom, dad what's going on,
Why haven't you left,
Why ya still home?"
I looked at the clock it was a quarter to eight,
For once I prayed that the guys would be late.
But they weren't,
they were right on time,
I saw them pull in,
and I started crying.
Well it serves me right,
They told me not to;
I should have listened,
but I forgot to.
Now I'm grounded for the rest of my life,
Just for throwing a party that night!
