"Well I apologize for my inconvenience, but your father is the one who invited us!" you shoot back.
both boys, speechless from that answer were now quiet playing their game in silence.
"Alright! I win!, Harry you suck at this game!" William yells swinging the pool cue around the room.
"shut up!" Harry shouts back angrily
"it's okay little boy, it was a joke!" William says batting Harry on the head.
"yeah whatever." Harry says, now taking a sip of his soda
You pretty much just sit there not saying a word while the two boys search for a new game to play.
"Your Highness, there is a caller awaiting you on line one." the same butler guy who opened the door earlier for you said, showing up out of nowhere.
"Alright, I'll answer it down here." William says picking up the reciever,"Hello?"
"William?"the caller says.
"this is he."William replies.
"oh well, this is James." the voice then says.
"I know, I would think I would recognize my own friends voice" William says with a laugh.
"okay well, is that girl at your house?" James asks
"Yes. Why do you ask?" William sounds a bit confused.
"Because, I have been getting phone calls from people asking me why you are together and if anything bad has happened to you, or her."
"No nothing, Who would call and ask that?" William asks
"Girls obviously and some lads, well you know! Everyone knows that you two can't be trusted together and I was a little curiouse also."James explains, "Soo....?"
"So what?" William asks.
"So has anything good happened?" James asks irritated.
"No! Nothing has happened, I'll call you later." William says then hangs up the phone. Obviously frustrated he pours himself another soda and sits on the chair.
You just sit there in silence knowing that if you say one word there will be a fight so you just decide to keep your mouth shut until it is time to go home.
"Anyone up for another game?" William asks.
"No..." Harry replies, "I am going to head up to my room for a second I'll be back." Harry says.
A long silence then came between William and you, then he finally says something.
"Would you like some more soda?" William asks
"No thank you." You reply.
"Alright." He replies, You can tell he is really unconfortable, but so are you so you are not quite sure what to say.
"Sorry about the lobster..." William says sort of shyly.
William? Apologizing?That was a first!
"That's alright, I guess I sort of deserved it.." You reply
"No... I shouldn't have done it." William says. ‘What is going on?' you think to yourself, ‘Why is he being so nice, he is kinda cute, especially when he drinks......What am I saying? This is William, he is the biggest pain!....but still he does have a little bit of charm, who am I kidding, this is probably another one of his pranks, I'm not going for it!'
You start to be your usual snobbish self towards him again, and start letting your eyes wander around the room.
"So...are you going to the Rugby game on Friday?" William finally breaks the silence
"I've got better things to do with my time, than watch a bunch of monkeys trying to impress all the little girls." You say, sticking your nose in the air." "Oh," William replies. It was then that you knew he was serious and that this wasn't a joke, he was really being nice to you and it was hard to believe.
You both sit there in complete silience, ‘this has got to be joke, there is no way! In all of these years that William Windsor is actually being nice to me! The was no chance, there has to be some sort of joke, expect it, any minute now something is going to jump out at me, I am going to take it with pride though, I won't let William suck me into this trap.' You think.
"So...would you like to watch T.V.?" William asks you, you jump at the sound of his voice.
"huh?, oh, sure." You reply.
You two watch friends and just as it is over your mother comes in and tells you it is time to go home, You look over at William once more and then get up and say good bye. Once your parents have finally finished saying their goodbye's (trust me that took a long time!) you head out to the car awaiting just inside the palace gates.
"So, how was your evening dear?" Your mother asks you once you have pulled out of the palace gates.
"I could have found something better to do but it wasn't terrible." you reply
"Well I hope we won't get any phone calls from the palace saying that something has happened to William after we left."
You just give him a dirty look and then he starts laughing.
****************************************************************************** "Oh I absolutely Love this song!" Marina says holding a cd up to her chest. She had the song, "Show me the meaning of being lonely" By the Backstreet boys blasting on her stereo and she had had it on repeat for about 15 minutes, it was actually getting a little annoying.
"Why do you like it anyways? You're not lonely!" You say.
"Well it is a nice song alright, plus, you should like it more than me, When was the last time you had a boyfriend?" Marina says.
"I'm not lonely, I enjoy being single." you reply while changing to Britney Spears' "Baby one more time..."
"Yeah right! So how was your little dinner last night? Did you get that Prince boy good?" Marina asks wide eyed.
"No, but if I tell you something do you promise you won't tell anyone? You can't tell anyone at all! No one can know!" you say with a seriouse tone.
" Yes! I promise, tell me, tell me, tell me!" Marina squeals.
"Alright, if you tell anyone I will be sooo angry!" you warn her.
" Okay Okay! Just tell me!" She starts going crazy.
"Well the weird thing was that, William did pull a prank, but after he was being really sweet to me. Well compared to the usual poking fun."
"Oh my god! I knew it all along!" Marina screams.
"What? What are you talking about?" You asks really confused.
"Well, not just me, but everyone thinks that he actually likes you, but the only way he can get your attention is to pull all of the pranks on you." she says practically hugging you.
"WHAT? Are you crazy? That is the most rediculouse thing I have ever heard!" You say harshly. You weren't going to admit to have thought he was cute for atleast a seconde.
"Well since you told me that, I have something to tell you..." Marina says
"About what?" You ask wondering what it could be.
"Well it is about you and William..." she says.
"What?" You ask wondering what it could possibly be.Then she finally replies with a big grin on your face...
