Helming celebrations at Riva’s Tritton Trattoria (Sheraton Imperial Hotel, Jalan Sultan Ismail, Kuala Lumpur) will be Alex Peters, Malaysia’s rock machine, who will perform from 11.30pm onwards.
With a career spanning more than two decades, Peters started strumming his own guitar before going on to sing rock, reggae, contemporary, folk and heavy metal, bearing influences of legends like Steve Vai, Jimi Hendrix and even the Beatles.
Ever since he won the Top of the Pubs championship some years ago, he has become a force to be reckoned with, having performed at numerous outlets around town. Peters has even produced his music for fans under his own label, Flatfish Studio.
His vocals and innovative range of sounds will not disappoint, especially with his unique husky, muscular style elegantly fusing Indian raga and rock into a potent brew.
