Westland Lynx
The Westland Lynx has served with the British Army for many years as its only ground attack helicopter. It is fast and manoeuvrable, the Lynx relies on its performance and crew skill rather than heavy armour. It mainly operates with the gazelle recon helicopters which locate enemy units and guide the Lynxes to appropriate firing positions. There is also a naval version which is used primarily for Anti Sumbarine Warfare but has been fitted with the Sea Skua missile to destroy fast attack craft.
