What Are The Odds? === Chapter 13

The next morning, the power came back on, and the trees had been moved, so the boys went home.

2 Weeks Later...

Nick came over one day and told Faith he never wanted to see her again.
"Why? Why Nick, what have I done?" Faith asked.
We had been going out on dates with our boyfriends every night for the past two weeks, and this was a real surprise for Faith.
"You know what you did" Nick sneered.
With that he left. She cried and cried. I felt so bad for her that I went over to talk to Brian to see if I could figure out what was going on.
"Bri, why did Nick dump Faith?" I demanded.
"She should know why" Brian responded frostily.
"Well, Brian, she doesn't. And all I know is, my best friend is in that house sobbing her heart out for no apparent reason, and I WANT to KNOW the reason!" I snapped.

"Ok, Ok, Aj and Nick got in a fight, and AJ told Nick that he slept with Faith. Nick was so mad that she would cheat on him that he broke up with her." Brian confided.
"I...I Have to go,"I told him.
I ran home, nearly in tears for my best friend.
"Faith, Faith!" I cried, running in the door.
"What? She looked up at me thru red-rimmed eyes.
"I found out why Nick did that" I said.
"He thinks you slept with AJ" I informed her quietly.
"I never did that!" Faith screamed.
"I know, I know, we'll get this all worked out, don't worry," I consoled her.
I ran back next door.
"That is the biggest lie I have ever heard. She did no such thing! She would NEVER cheat on him. Never ever!" I told Brian.

"O yes she would! She just did!"Brian argued.
"She did not! And if that is the way you feel, then you can forget about ever seeing me again!" I yelled.
"Goodbye!" I screamed as I slammed the door.
