CHAPTER 33

8 months later, April 2001, 4 in the morning... I woke up with a start. "Brian..." I said softly. "Mmmm..." he sighed, rolling over. "Brian!" I said louder. Nothing happened. "Brian Thomas Littrell! Get up RIGHT THIS SECOND!!!" I yelled. He opened his eyes and looked at the clock. "It's 4AM" he muttered. "Obviously! The baby is coming!! Right now!" I said. He jumped out of bed faster than I ever thought possible. "The baby!! The hospital! We have to get to the hospital!!" he screeched. "It's allright, don't panic. Just get dressed, I'll get dressed, and we'll get in the car. This is not a big deal." I said, trying to calm him down. "ok..." He walked over to the closet and put on jeans and a sweatshirt. I put on a long comfy dress, the ony thing left that would fit me, grabbed my suitcase, and we were on out way out the door when the phone rang. "BRIAN?" someone on the other end yelled. "What?" "It's Nick. Why the heck is there a light in at your house? It's 4:30am!" "Blair is having the baby" Brian said excitedly. "She is?" Nick yelled. "Yes. We're on our way to the hospital." "Faith and I are going with you." Nick announced. "Why?" "Because I'm your best friend, and Faith is Blair's best friend. We'll be there a few minutes after you. I'll meet you in the maternity ward." "K. Bye." Brian and I drove to the hospital, they put me in a room and asked if I wanted pain medicine. "No, I'm going to do it naturally," I told the nurse. Brian and I had decided it would be better for me to do it that way. 4 hours later, I was still in the room with Brian or Faith constantly at my side. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. "Come in" In walked all of the boys and their wives. "You guys are so sweet to get up this early just to come see me!" I said to them. "No problem" "OWWWWWW!!!!" I yelled. Brian took my hand. "Another contraction?" "What do you think?" I yelled sarcastically through clenched teeth. He looked hurt, and I felt bad. "o, Honey, I'm sorry, but it's just that..." "You don't have to apologize" he interjected. "I love you honey," I said, taking his head in my hands. "But as soon as this is over, I swear I am buying us separate beds! AAAH Here comes another!!" "I'm going to go goet the doctor," Brian said. "I'll do it," Nick said kindly. "Thanks" The doctor came in and made everyone except Brian leave. He checked me out, and said he'd be back in 5 minutes. 5 Minutes later, the doctor came back in with a nurse. "Are you ready?" he asked us. "Yes" "ok, on the count of 3, I want you to push." he told me. "1,...2,...3" I pushed. I screamed. I squeezed Brian's hand until I thought it would fall off. I looked at him as I broke out in a sweat. He never winced. "I love you, honey. You can do it, baby. Come on, push it out" "I love you" I screamed as another contraction came. "I have a head!" the doctor announced excitedly. "Come on honey, not much more!" "Not much more?! Not much more?! SHUT UP BRIAN!! Do you have any idea what this feels like?! I swear I am buying us double beds!!" I screamed. "Don't worry, they all say that." the doctor whispered to Brian. "I heard that!!" I yelled. 5 minutes later... "It's a girl! We have a daughter!! I am a daddy! You are a mommy!" Brian shrieked with tears coming to his eyes. The nurse showed us the baby and then took it away to clean it up. 10 minutes later... The nurse brought the baby back in. I took her in my arms. "O brian! Lok at this beautiful little thing you and I created," I whispered. Her little hands wrapped around my finger. "I have never seen anything so beautiful than the two of you right now" Brian said quietly. "I looked into his ocean blue eyes for the millionth time, and thanked God that I hadn't let him slip away. We heard a knock on the door. "come in" All 4 of the rest of the boys and their wives came in. "What is her name?" Kevin asked. "O My Gosh! We decided on Matthew or Justin if it was a boy, but we never talked about girl names!" Brian realized. "How about Alexis?" "No" Megan?" "No" "Tiffany?" "No" "Chelsy?" "No" "Heather?" No" "Rebecca!" Brian and I said at the exact same time. "Rebecca Elizabeth Littrell! It's perfect! Just like her!" Brian said.
