Chapter 18

Sara runs to Nick's locker desperately looking for him. "Damn where the hell is he?" she says while the bell signaling 1st hour rings. Sara's worst enemy, Tanna Farnsworth, walks in front of her and blocks the door. "So I see you're dating this new kid ... NIck?" She says pushing Sara over to the side.
"Umm Yeah why?"
"The Halloween dance is coming up and I want to go with him. HE IS SO FINE! But he said he was dating you, so I have something to say to you - dump him or else!"
Tanna walks into the science room and walks over to her popular group of friends.

7 Hours later

The bell ending the day rings and Sara leaves the classroom like a bat out of hell. At her locker, Tanna and her group of friends are waiting.
"What do you want?'" Sara asks, opening her locker.
Tanna slams it, "Nick said no, no guy has ever said no to me, therefore you are going to die!!!"
"BUT!......
Tanna interupts her, "you better be here at 5:30 tommorow morning, or we'll find you."
Tanna and her friends leave and walk into the cheerleading room.
Then Nick walks over to Sara.

"Was that witch bothering you?" Nick asked. "Nah, we were just talking." Sara lied. Nick was suspicious. "You two never got along. Whats up? Tell me." Sara was silent. "Does this have anything to do with her asking me to the Halloween dance?" "Well yea, sorta" "What do you mean sorta?" "She wants me to dump you, cause she likes you, and she says if I don't I'm dead" "Oh please don't let her get to you. She ain't gonna try anything as long as I'm around." "What about when your not around?" "How about you stay with me a while?" "OK great, but I gotta call mom & dad (authors note: Sara & Maria's mom got married when the sisters were 15) and let them know."

Sara headed towards the phone then suddenly turned around... 'WAIT! Maria's coming out of the hospital today, I gotta see how she is" "She's going home with Brian, remember? We can stop by his house tonight" "OK....OH and another thing....I can't go make a phone call with out my knight in shining armor to protect me" she said smiling. Nick ran up to her a lifted her off her feet "Let's go."
