We are an Esperanto-speaking couple living in Norway.

Ulf has been working for almost ten years for a software firm in Trondheim, Telelogic Norge AS. In that town he lived alone until Jelena came into his life.

Jelena moved to Norway in November 1999 and first started working as an au pair in Os for Ulf's cousin Kjersti, where she looked after Alex and Kees André, Kjersti's two charming sons. During that time Ulf was living in Os and working via Internet so he could stay with Jelena.

After Easter 2000 we both moved to Trondheim. From May till November that year Jelena worked for a Trondheim family while staying with Ulf. That family was an Esperanto couple: Audun and Bergny, and their kids Aslak and Runa. Jelena soon became a "member" of their family. But in November they moved to the USA.

The next several months Jelena was unemployed. During this time she worked on her Norwegian and took part in the local Esperanto club's life. Meanwhile we made good friends with a Norvegian-French family: the Stenkløvs.

In January 2001 we became an aunt and an uncle, when Trine, Ulf's sister, gave birth to a daughter!

Trine, her husband, Dag, and their beautiful daughter Maren live in Os.

In April 2001 Jelena and Ulf got married and Jelena changed her last name from Saldyrkina to Lunde.
The wedding took place in Os.

Our honeymoon was a pleasant cruise in the Mediterranean. (Some day a web page with more details will come!)

From spring till late fall Jelena lived in Os where she worked for
Travelnet Os Reisebyrå travel agency. Ulf again worked via internet but had to travel quite often. (In those days to Sweden.)

Since november 2001 we have been living in Trondheim, but once we both find good jobs in the Os/Bergen region, we plan to move to Os for good.
