Elgin Baylor was or still is the best NBA player to ever play the game of basketball. His former teammate Jerry West mentioned him as a unbelievable jump-shooter. He participated in 11 NBA All-Star Games and the was the NBA Rookie of the Year in 1959. He iis also the Los Angeles Lakers franchise all-time rebound leader(11,463). It is said that if he was born 25 years later, only some of his many spectacular plays would be caught on tape. In his time, he was the best rebounder, jump-shooter, and player to ever play the game of basketball in the NBA. When Elgin Baylor retired in 1971, the NBA lost yet another NBA player from the Lakers.
