Years passed and before Dana knew it she was an adult. She was driving home from work, when she turned on the radio. A new group came on. Their name was Backstreet Boys. For some reason she liked them immediately.
She was now out of college. She had a good job. And a great life. She stared down at her left hand. The engagement ring shined back at her. She smiled. Finally, she arrived at her destination. She knocked intently at the door.
"Hello!" she said to the person who answered the door.
"Hello my beautiful fiance." Joshua replied and swept her up into his arms.
"Josh, put me down!" she giggled.
"Ok, Ok."
He placed her down and gave her a kiss.
"I remember the first time we kissed."
"Yeah?" he questioned. "You remember that long ago?"
"Yep." she said matter-of-factly.
She lightly pushed him out of the way so that she could enter the house. He followed her and shut the door.
"Yes, that night I ran home, and you followed me. Seems like it was yesterday." she sat down on the sofa.
"I'd follow you anywhere, honey." he said joining her on the sofa.
"Oh, you're sweet." she placed a kiss upon his lips. "But as I was saying, I had run home, because I didn't want to fall in love with you. But you showed up at my door and kissed me. That's when I knew I could no longer deny it."
She gave him a toothy smile.
"And in less than a month, you'll be my wife." Josh stated, grinning.
"Ok, everyone, listen up!" Kevin shouted.
Nick, AJ, Howie, and Brian all stopped mid-action. Brian froze with Nick in a head lock, pre-nuggie stage.
"Our next show is going to take place in a town named Springfield, Kentucky." Kevin informed them all.
"Hey Brian, isn't that where you grew up?" Howie asked.
"Um...yeah it is." Brian answered.
"Cool. I guess you'll be able to catch up with old friends."
"I guess." was all Brian could say.
Dana awoke in her bed the next morning, and she could just tell it would be a good day. Josh said he was going to come later today and take her somewhere. It was a surprise though. She was dying to know where they were going.
She planned on it being really fancy and romantic. That meant she could wear the blue dress, which was really wonderful. She had never worn it, because it was only for a a special occasion. It was a baby bluish that brought out the blue in her eyes. The spaghetti straps showed off her shoulders. The dress hung loose allowing only a few curves to be shown. The dress ended right above her ankles.
She decided to get ready right away, because she wasn't exactly sure when "later" was. She went in the bathroom to get changed and put on her make-up and stuff.
"Hey everyone, we've finally have reached our destination." AJ screamed. "I wonder if they have any good shops around here."
"Awww, and I just got to the boss level in my game." Nick whined.
"Shut up, Nick, no one cares!" Brian shouted.
The guys could tell that Brian wasn't telling them something. Whatever it was, was obviously bothering him.
"Bri, what the hell is bothering you?" AJ asked.
"Nothin." he lied. "I just need some sleep."
They each got their own hotel rooms under different names. Brian lay down on his bed, letting thoughts run through his mind. He wondered what her life was like now. Did she even still live here? He wanted to know what she looked like now.
His eyes wondered around the hotel room. They set onto the telephone and the fat book beside it. he walked over to it and began flipping though it.
"It's worth a try." he thought aloud.
She had just finished putting her outfit together. She still had to put on her shoes, but she heard someone knocking on the door. She ran over to it. She knew that it had to Josh, so she didn't even bother looking through the peep hole.
"Hello, sw..." she opened the door with a smile. She stopped mid-sentence when she noticed it wasn't Josh at the door.
"Hello." the man said.
She couldn't help but notice how hott he was, she was human after all. He looked a little familiar, too. Those eyes, she knew those eyes.
"Um...Hi. Can I help you?" she asked.
"Yeah, I'm looking for Dana." he said. He stared at the beautiful girl before him.
He couldn't help but stare at her. She wore this dress that seemed to be made just for her. And he looked into her eyes and his heart melted.
"I'm Dana."
He felt butterflies in his stomach. "Calm down. Jesh, why am I getting so nervous for?" he asked himself.
I'm sorry, but do I know you?"
"Uh..I don't think so. Not any more." he turned around and was ready to leave.
Her voice stopped him though.
"Brian?" she asked hesitantly.
*Oh my God, she remembered.* He turned back around to face her. She drew in a heavy breathe.
"I'm right, aren't I?" she asked.
"Yes." he answered.
She could feel tears in her eyes. She ran up to him and threw her arms around him.
"Oh my God, I can't believe it."
He returned her hug.
"It's been so long." he whispered.
"Come on in. We've got some catching up to do." she said, forgetting all about Josh.
"You look great." she told him as she handed him a tall glass of iced tea.
"Thanks. You look good yourself."
She couldn't help but blush a little. She meant that he looked good. He was a babe.
"So what have you been up to?" she asked.
"Well I've actually joined a group. That's going very good."
"Oh really? What band?"
"Um..actually its called The Backstreet Boys."
He could tell she had heard of them by the look on her face.
"Really?" she asked stunned. "I have that CD. I never actually really looked at the cover."
"Oh yeah? That's ironic."
"How about you?" he asked.
"I'm good. I'm actually..." she was interrupted by a knock at the door. "I'll be right back."
