"Hello, Brian!" she greeted him as she opened the door. "I'm glad that you were able to come."
"Well it sounded important on the phone."
"Yes it is." she sat him down. She took a deep breathe and continued.
"I had to make a choice today. It wasn't easy I couldn't tell you over the phone either."
"Ok." he said.
"I had to choose between two great guys. I love both, but one can not have the same love I have for the other. Never. I'm so lucky I even had one guy willing to love me, when most people search for their soul mate and never find it, but I have two. But I can no longer deny that I love one more than the other."
He understood. He was here so she could tell him that she was going to marry Josh and leave him.
"Who did you choose?" he asked, fearing he already knew the answer.
She stared directly at into his eyes.
"The one I've always been in love with."
She closed the distance between them and kissed him.
"I love you." he said placing a gentle kiss upon her cute forehead.
"I know."
The very next day, Brian bought the ring. He figured 'why waste time?'. They were destined to be together.
He was going to have the perfect romantic situation in which, he could pop the question. They'd go out to dinner. Then, come home and that's when he'd propose. No more wasting time. This whole thing was ridiculous. They should be happily married with the 2.5 kids by now. He laughed at himself. 'Well, maybe the kids would come later.'
They were entering the door of her house. She saw flowers all over. She gasped.
"Brian?" she asked. He had a wonderful grin upon his face.
"I had Nick, AJ, Howie, and Kevin do me a little favor."
She grinned and wrapped her arms around him. She kissed his cheek.
He suddenly broke free of her grip. He took her left hand in his. Then, he looked deeply into her eyes. Showing her how much he loved her with his actions rather than words.
"Dana, I love you more than anyone, I will always. I want to show everyone that I will. So... Dana, will you be my wife?"
Tears formed in her eyes. He took out the ring and held it out to her. She took it. It was extremely beautiful.
"Yes." she answered, as he placed the ring on her finger.
He kissed her. "This is how things are meant to be."
Nick ran out of his hiding spot and to the car.
"So what happened?" asked Howie.
Nick smiled. "They're together again."
"I knew that Brian would be the first to get married." said AJ.
"No, I knew before you did. I'm his cousin. I know him the best." Kevin said.
They all laughed and then drove away.
