As the day we first met

One day becomes another

A glance into the future
Is just a flicker of the past
I'm not so very sure now...
Whether this friendship will last?

It's not just in the heart you know
It's part of us and what we have
Always looking forward now I know
To what can never be equalled or compared

Only if one could focus more
On what can be gained and not lost...
Then life could mean alot more
For what it is....and what it cost

I go to sleep knowing these truths
And how they can treat me
This being of belonging and...
How it always will be

Guess life has it's ups...
And surely has it's downs
I'm grateful now knowing
I'm aware of what abounds

A friend indeed...
Is a friend you need
A Chronicle of what I now write you
Of the life we now lead
