South Carolina
South Carolina has 4 classifications: 4A, 3A, 2A and 1A. The 4A classification is divided into two divisions, the "Big 16"(Div 1) as it is called, which contains the state's 16 largest schools, and the rest, most often referred to as the "Little 32"(Div 2). All of the "Big 16" Teams are seeded according to a formula and all advance to the "Big 16" playoffs despite records. The remainder of the 4A teams qualify for the playoffs in a normal manner.
