Finding quirky Labyrinth things

Where to begin? Posters, photos and lobby cards to magazines, comic books, stuffed toys and board games for starters! And that's not including all the stuff everyone forgot about. Obviously Labyrinth was the predecessor of the modern mass marketed Disney film, minus the happy meal Ludo and Firey beenie baby. But how can you resist 80's toys, even an itty bit? Even the idea of Labyrinth cereal box stickers seems cute! No one knows the exact type and amount of items available, but visit Walter's site, Think Labyrinth! The Movie for an excellent guide.

Go online shopping! Ebay is the biggest and best. Most other sites do not have a lot (if any) Labyrinth merchandise. Bidding is absolutely ferocious. If it’s a hot item, expect no less than 10 bids and expect only to get the item if you stay online at the moment of auction close (personal experience: I have been outbidded even after placing a bid with only 1 minute to go). My ebay tips: bid close to the auction end date and bid the whole amount you are willing to pay for it! It saves a lot of heartbreak if you don't go as high as you would like and lose due to lack of time.

A sample of some of the really strange things that have been offered for sale in the past:

1. A pair of a helping hands from the movie
2. A box of unopened labyrinth bubble gum (not that you would be attempting to consume 14 year old gum anyway) - pic 1 and pic 2
3. A replica of Sarah’s ball dress
4. The ACTUAL PROTOTYPES of the stuffed Ludo, Sir Didy and Fiery made by Kenner (whom did not get the contract in the end - so this makes them priceless. The Ludo if I recall, went for close to US$500)
5. The official Labyrinth Boardgame
6. A Labyrinth jig-saw puzzle
7. A Labyrinth desk clock (though with only 12 hours ... )
8. A very rare version of the Photo Album in Spanish called Laberinto
9. Labyrinth paper cups (for those contemplating a Labyrinth party I presume…)
10. Labyrinth paper plates (to go with your cups)
11. Hot Pink Labyrinth Lunchbox with thermos, be the coolest big kid at school.
12. Labyrinth Watch (to keep you eye on the time while you race Jareth)
13. Sir Diddymus - used
14. Promotional Slides - to be used on ancient projector from the 80s.
15. Promotional Crystal Ball - a picture of Jareth within a Lucite ball. Very rare.
