When we got Brent's yearbook the following September, Brandee took it to school and had friends sign it for him. These are some of the letters they wrote.

Every time I think about you I always remember the parties you used to have when we were little. I don't think that any of our lives will ever be the same without you. You've been with us since we started 13 years ago and it hurts to think that you won't be here to end it all. But throughout the year, and the rest of our lives, we will always remember you. We will remember the good times and the bad times, and every other memory we have of you. Everyday, I wonder why God took you from us, and I know one day all of our questions will be answered. We'll just have to be patient until then. Because the day will come when everyone is together again. Losing you is probably the hardest thing that most of us have had to go through. But we have all become stronger, and closer, and personally in my opinion, the coolest class so far! I guess that what all of this really says is one thing Brent, although you're gone, you'll never be forgotten. In our hearts you'll always live. I'll see you when I get there.

 I often wonder what it would be like if you were still here. It's so hard without you. I think of you every day. I miss the way you made me laugh and the times we had. What's up cousin? I can still remember when we hated each other, got in a fight and then for some odd  reason became good friends. It's been pretty hard these last few months but I believe that everyone is doing their best to overcome the big loss of a great friend (physically) But you'll really be gone. You'll always be in my heart as well as everyone else's. I can still hear your voice ringing down the halls and your crazy laugh in Mrs. Roquin's class. Thanks for being there to make me laugh when I needed it. I miss you even though I know you are in a much better place. I'll see you at the crossroads and we'll be together for eternity.

Hey sweetheart! It's been pretty hard these last few months. Crystal's starting to do better but she still has her bad days. It's gonna be hard to but I promise you I'm gonna be there for her through all of it. I miss you sooo much! It's not the same without you. I go to visit you a lot. It's still not real to me. Hey Sweetie! Well, I can't believe that we are almost out of here. I can still remember when we were in fourth grade when I first met you. I have known you for a  long time and I'll never forget you. It is so hard trying to get over what happened. I know that you are in a better place and happy but I miss you so much. It's not the same without you. You were always there to make me laugh when I needed a laugh for anything. I miss all those times when we used to stay at each others houses and go on vacations together. Well, we are finally seniors and you aren't here to physically enjoy it with us. I will never forget your crazy self. You always knew how to make me laugh when  I was sick or just in a bad mood and I will never forget that. God made our friendship strong like it is for a reason. You will always be my best friend no matter what. No one could ever take your place in my heart. The day you left us tore me apart and I thought I wouldn't be able to go on but I realize you are in a better place and you will always be with me. It is hard sometimes when I think about you, to go one with my life because I always ran to you when I had a problem and now you aren't here. I have come to realize I can still tell you everything.
