In Remembrance

Jean-Luc LeBeau: January 17, 1879- June 15, 2001

I don' really know how to start dis. I never made a memorial page for anyone b'fore, 'specially not for someone who meant so much to so many people, myself included.

Jean-Luc was patriarch of de New Orleans T'ieves Guild for so many years...ever since 1922 when he instigated de vote of confidence dat got his own father ousted as leader. As time went on, de numbers in de Guild started to dwindle, b'cause even wit' de Elixir, we don' live forever. By de time Jean-Luc left us to fulfill de prophecies almost a year ago, dere were only six of us left, an' he had b'come like a father to each of us, as each of our own fathers passed away. He was more den a father-figure t'ough, he was also our friend, someone we could talk to 'bout anyt'ing under de sun without havin' to worry he'd laugh or anyt'ing like dat.

I've asked each of de others to contribute to dis page, so it will take awhile for it to be finished. We're all still goin' t'rough de whole it-jus'-happened grievin' process, but when we're calmed down some, I'll start puttin' our memories an' stories on here.
