Our Village of Fisher.....My Little Town

Welcome to our website for our lovely town of Fisher.

City Hall

Our town hall building was built in the early 1900's and was used for the 4L lumber company office. The upstairs was used for the living quarters for the visiting V.I.P.'s.
In 1995, the Village of Fisher made an office for the Water Department and the Police Department.
Regular office hours are:

Monday thru Friday
8:00 AM until 12 Noon
Phone 318-256-2001

City Hall is also used as a meeting place for the Fisher Heritage Foundation that was founded in 1976 and also for the monthly town meeting which is held on the 2nd Monday of the month.
The time of the Town Meeting is held at 7:00 PM.

The court is at 6:30 PM

The U.S. Post Office

The Fisher Post Office was in the south end of the commissary then they built this one in the 1940's.
The library was located in the back of the post office.
On March 12th, 1986 a tornado destroyed the post office when a tree fell on it, but it was rebuilt with using as much of the old wood as possible and then made it into just the Post Office with the library moving into the Depot.

The Depot Library

The Depot was built by Kansas City Southern Railway.
It was used for transportation from Fisher to many places.
There wasn't many vehicles back in those days.
The Depot is now being used as a library and in the future we hope to make a museum on the other part.
