Lucy and Mirta start off as friends: Lucy even takes up for Mirta once when Mirta embarasses herself in front of everyone in Cloud Tower. But Lucy, unlike Mirta, cares intensely what everyone else thinks of her. Lucy would do anything to be friends with the most popular students in the school, the Trix sisters. The Trix sisters hate her, but allow Lucy's obviousness to that fact work to their advantage.
