I get lots of email and here are the most frequently asked questions.
**Well she is but I wanted to take them out of the anime world and put them in the real world as adults. It makes them interesting. Also I’m older and don’t want to revisit being 15.
**True it does but I’ve never been to Tokyo. A few of the stories do take place in Tokyo or beyond the well.
Most I’ve set here in the US, because I write best when I know what I’m writing. I’ve never been to Tokyo and cannot do it justice. That and the image of Inuyasha in the southern US is too funny. I can’t explain it.
**Didn’t your mama teach you it’s rude to ask a lady’s age? No? Okay then I’m twenty something and old enough to know better.
**He did a book signing at the store I worked in back in college. He’s a great guy with an awesome wife. Funny story; our manager made up this gourmet tray for his lunch with wine, cheese and shrimp cocktail…the whole thing came from Wallmart. Emeril took one look at it and slipped me a ten and sent me to McDonalds for a cheese burger and fries.
**95% of the places are real. It’s easier than making places up to use real locations. I’d like to think it adds depth.
**Yes and no, sometimes they are loosely based on real people. I borrowed Boog's name but the character's personality isn't the same as her namesake. (Go Home Kagome). I steal a little bit from everything and every one I know to some extent.
**Yes it does, ever since 9/11/01 my colleagues and I have dealt with it everyday and it’s leaked over to my writing. I don’t want it to take main stage though.
**Sometimes but no sexy Japanese dog demons have started sending me roses…yet.
**Okay I made Ayumi OCC, I admit it. But if I had a 15 year old daughter would she be hanging round Inuyasha? Hell no. I’ve always wanted her mom to be a real person. Okay that fic has tons of OCC but for some reason people are still reading it.I was still very new to this when I wrote it.
**I’ve no plans for sequels but that doesn’t mean I won’t ever add one. I currently only have three finished stories and three on going stories. I’ll consider requests but I have allot going on right now. I’d only do a story request if it was really interesting or creative.
**I live in the Carolinas but travel up and down the east coast. Currently I do not live in Charleston but I visit often. I’ve lived all over the east coast. In fact the next story will take place in Reading PA, that’s outside of Philadelphia.
**Sure do, Isabel aka Iz the hog. Pictures coming soon.
**Shippo is cute in the anime but he comes off like Scrappy Doo every time I write about him. So sorry Shippo fans, he’ll get an occasional brief mention from time to time but that’s it.
** I started Aug of 2005. Seriously it’s only been five months. I type fast so that’s why I’ve written so much. I’ve been writing off and on for ten years. I saw Inuyasha the first time maybe back in May of this year.
**Sure, just email me first.
**I don’t think I am. I do love that graveyard but then I have a medieval history degree and as a result I love things like old buildings, graveyards etc. But while I do own black clothes (who doesn't) and nail polish (if it hasn’t dried up) I don’t consider myself to be gothic.
**(yeah I really get this question so here goes.) Besides the ones listed in the stories…Melissa Etheridge, They Might Be Giants, The Bare Naked Ladies, The Goo Goo Dolls, Gun N’ Roses, Aerosmith. Movies: Amadeus, Clerks, Mall Rats, Nightmare before Christmas. Books: Any thing that isn’t nailed down but I love The Agony and the Ecstasy which I dropped into Pride & Predjuice. Anime: Trigun, Samurai Champloo, Full Metal Alchemist, Spirited Away. Cartoons: Scooby Doo, Kim Possible, The Venture Brothers. TV: I barely watch it, cept for the news. Terry Moore's Strangers in Paradise comic book has been a huge influence. If you've never heard of it then you simply have to check it out. I've added a link on the bottom of this page. So there ya go.
**Ummm...I was hoping Go Home Kagome wasn't Mary Sue riddled but it's walking the line. However it's not a horrible Sue so I refuse to feel too guilty about it. Now do I do self insertion? Not so much. While I do own a fish named Sushi (yeah I'm mean, I know) I don’t think I’m that interesting and I don’t like all of the characters or even agree with their actions and choices. Sesshomaru in real life would make a horrible date. In the story he’s interesting.
*Can I link to your site?
**Sure!
**Please do! I'd be honored. I draw but am out of practice. I'd like a really good Pride & Prejudice pic of Kagura and Sesshomaru.
*Why are your characters so old? Isn’t Kagome 15?
*Why does everyone live in the southern US? Doesn’t Inuyasha take place in Tokyo?
*How old are you?
*In The Hanyou Hits the Frying Pan you mention you met Emeril Lagasse?
*Are all the places in the stories real?
*Are the non-anime character real people?
*Pride & Prejudice deals slightly with terrorism?
*Is your real life as crazy as the stories?
*In Go Home Kagome, her mom is so MEAN, why?
*Will you write a sequel to “insert story name here” or do you take request?s
*Update* I am doing some sequels. The Hanyou series is being updated. There will be a later sequel to Pride & Prejudice based on Rin coming in the next couple of months.
*Do you live in Charleston South Carolina?
*Do you really have a pet hedgehog?
*Where is Shippo? You shouldn’t leave him out!
*How long have you been writing fanfics?
*Can I feature your story on my site?
*What’s up with the graveyard in Pride & Prejudice? Are you morbidly gothic or what?
*Your favorite bands? Movies? Books? Anime?
*Which character is a Mary Sue? Or do you insert yourself in your writing?
*Can I draw a fanart based on your story?
I think this covers most of the questions but I will update over time if needed. I have been shocked by how big this whole thing has gotten. I’m really honored ya’ll like it this much! If you have a question that isn’t answered here then email me or sign the guestbook and I’ll answer it.
