This page contains pictures taken during our family vacation to the Smoky Mountains during Christmas and New Years of 2002. We stayed in a log cabin in Maggie Valley, North Carolina. During our 2 week stay, we visited Mt. Mitchell, highest peak east of the Mississippi; Chimney Rock in North Carolina; Biltmore Estate in Ashville, North Carolina; and Mingo Falls in Cherokee, North Carolina. We survived a 8 1/2 hour train ride from Dillsboro, North Carolina to the Natahala Gorge. We also spent about 3 days in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. |
