Transcription of a letter from William Haslett to John Close

16 Augt 1811

Dr Sir,

I have seen Mr. Smith since you was here. He is at this moment without money but says in about 2 weeks it can be ready. I have considerable sums owe me and have been endeavouring to collect a little for you , but find it is not to be done at this moment.

I hope that the small delay will not be injurious to you and depend on it. You will have the money as soon it can be got. Your shoes is done.

Yr. Obd Svt.
Wm Haslett
