Hi, My name is Karen Gard and I love to quilt. Like the stereotypical quilting grandma, I enjoy handquilting and (presently) handpiecing. I've been seriously quilting (no fooling around here!) for about 8 years. I've kept a few quilts for myself, but most have been given away (sigh!). My main project at present is a Dear Jane quilt - an adaptation of the quilt made by Jane A. Stickle and popularized by Brenda Papadakis' "Dear Jane - The Two Hundred Twenty-Five Patterns from the 1863 Jane A. Stickle Quilt".
So far, my quilt is being done in reproduction fabrics in a random color scheme. Order may, or may not arise from the chaos on my design wall when the blocks are finished.
