The Wea Indian Tribe has been a friend to the Kaskaskia throughout history. Their descendants have compiled a number of resources that are invaluable to us and are nice enough to help us in our search for other descendants of the Kaskaskia Tribe and for our ancestors. Please visit their site and thank them for their kindness in helping us understand our identity.
Please write to the owner of the Randolph County, Illinois, site and tell her how much we appreciate her efforts on our behalf. She is one of the nicest ladies I have met online and has built a beautiful site that features our tribal history.

I have made web pages for my own Kaskaskia ancestors. Mamenthouensa is my 9-g-grandfather and was Chief of the Illini Confederation. His daughter, Marie Rouensa is the ancestor of many of the French Creole inhabitants of the Pointe Coupee and Avoyelles Parishes in Louisiana today.
