My dad at Mt. Skaala in Western Norway. The tower was built by a doctor in 1891. He thought that bringing patient with tuberculosis up here, in the fresh air at 1.852 m, would cure their illness. It didn't. Of the first 11 patients that tried to go up here 6 died. In 1895 it became the first hut in Bergen Turlag, a part of the Norwegian Hiker's Association.
