10 Stations - St. Bernard Parish Fire Department

St. Bernard Parish is situated southeast of New Orleans. The area is primarily a blue-collar area with several oil refineries, a sugar mill, and a strong fishing industry, as well as some of the best seafood in the area. The Chalmette National Battlefield from the Revolutionary War era is also located here. Lots of vehicle traffic, I have never seen so much traffic in my whole life. The major communities of St. Bernard Parish consists of; Chalmette, Meraux, Violet, Poydras, Delacroix, and Yscloskey. Besides the refineries, sport and commercial fishing are major industries for the parish. Orleans Parish (New Orleans) and Plaquemines Parish border St. Bernard Parish, as well as the Gulf of Mexico.

Located at the main station in Chalmette is this 1989 LTI/LTI 75’ ladder. It is identified as Engine 3.
