Stations __/__ - Bayou Blue VFD

Bayou Blue, LA is located in Lafourche Parish in South Louisiana. Major city nearby is Houma. I believe that Bayou Blue VFD are the only ones in the state with blue engines or an odd color for that matter. Bayou Blue is bordered by the city of Houma and Bayou Lafourche.

The newest Bayou Blue engine is BB-4, a 2004 Ferrara. I sure could use a couple of patches.

Bayou Blue has this 1967 Boyer/GMC pumper and is identified as BB-1.

Bayou Blue Volunteer Fire Department's newest engine is this 1999 Ferrara pumper assigned to the lonely station by the "new" highway 90 (US-90) in Bayou Blue. The department also has an International pumper BB-2 and an out of service water truck - all painted blue.

I finally got the Bayou Blue's fleet of fire apparatus so here is something other than the red and yellows you have been seeing. It's obvious how they got the colors. The whole department's roster of engines are in this baby blue or maybe its sky blue paint scheme. Engine BB-3 is a 1986 E-ONE pumper assigned to the main station in Bayou Blue, LA not far from Houma, LA.

Very compact, but serving the rescue needs of Bayou Blue is BB-7, a 1985 GMC.
