Stations 11-19 - Jefferson Parish FD

The Jefferson Parish Fire Department is a full-time, paid fire department located on the east bank of the Mississippi River, whereas the west bank is a mixture of volunteers and full-time paid employees. Only one volunteer fire department, the 3rd District, is located in east Jefferson Parish, and has no direct ties to the JPFD. The JPFD covers the communities of Metairie, Elmwood, and Jefferson and boarders the cities of Harahan, Kenner, and New Orleans.

An engine, ladder and car are assigned to JPFD's Station 13. Check out the great signs over the engine room doors. Great looking and sort of brings back a thing of the past with the engine numbers over the bays. I think Station 13 has started something.
