Various Stations - Louisiana VFD

This is an assortment of all the fire companies from around the state of Louisiana. they are listed in alphabedical order. If I eventually collect more than a couple of shots of a fire company I will list them separately.

Decked out in gold Scotchlite tiger stripes outlined in purple is this 2002 Ferrara Inferno operated by the LSU Fire & Emergency Training Institute (LSUFETI) School near the LSU campus in Baton Rouge. In case you didn't know it purple and gold are LSU's school colors.

An equally impressive rear quarter view of the attractive 2002 Ferrara/FL of LSUFETI. Thanks to Jeff Hildreth with LSUFETI and Chris Martin with Ferrara Apparatus in Holden, LA for making these shots possible. Now as a suggestion, next time paint the truck orange and apply black Scotchlite striping for a real tiger look.

When you have to move the firefighter rookies around why not travel in style in this giant tour bus. The bus belongs to the LSU Fire & Emergency Training Institute (LSUFETI) School located near the LSU campus in Baton Rouge.

Members of the Morgan City VFD just drove in from Hackney in North Carolina to the LSU Fire Training Institute for the equipment show on January 24, 2004. The new truck is a 2004 FL/Hackney and has a very unique decal applied to the door. Morgan City is one of the coastal cities of Louisiana, rich in oil and seafood industries. Good luck with the truck.

A new addition to the Luling Volunteer Fire Department's fleet of white trucks is this great looking 2002 HME/Hackney rescue. The truck also carries 300 gallons of water with a 50 gpm pump that supplies water to an attack line on the front bumper and another crosslay line off the passenger side. Small amount of water is used for car fires.

A 1995 Ferrara/Freightliner is one of the frontline pumpers of the Hahnville VFD located in West St. Charles parish, along the Mississippi River. This deep yellow almost looks orange and the white top really looks great.

Yes, a purple fire truck. This is a 1965 open cab Seagrave pumper that is used by the local potato chip manufacturer for parades. The pump and tank have been removed to provide access for the 74 year old calliop that is mounted mid-truck. It is played during the parade.

This truck is even equipped with a permanently mounted Port-A-Let at the rear. The boxes stacked on the truck are excellent Zapp's potato chips that will be thrown out during the parade.

Neat looking logo. Now I wonder if they have any patches like that for my collection? The patch has shades of Mardi Gras in it.
