3 Stations - Plaquemine (City) FD

The city of Plaquemine, LA - not to be confused with the parish of Plaquemine, is located on the west bank of the Mississippi River and south of Baton Rouge. Its one of the few places in America where a Class 1 railroad still runs their mainline down the middle of the downtown street. The Plaquemine FD has a wide assortment of equipment with some interesting surprises in store.

This is identified as a 1977 Ferrara with a 50' Telesqurt, but if anyone can provide me further info on this ladder I would appriciate it. It has the appearance of a Ward LaFrance judging from the windshield.

The newest piece with the Plaquemine (City) FD is this 1997 E-One commercial cab.

Engine 304 is a 1977 Ford/Great Eastern which I suspect has come from the East Coast, maybe Pennsylvania or New Jersey. I would really like to find out more on this rare bird who found a home in the deep south.

Nice looking graphics on the door. Louisiana is famous for those giant mosquitos.

A 1984 Grumman Firecat is housed at the Northside Station, not that Plaquemine is that big of a town, it at the station on the north end of town.

I did not get the year on this nice American LaFrance pumper.

This was just about as much of a surprise as the green engine. This is a 1967 Mack Snorkel with a 80' Snorkel.
