Stations __/__ - Tangipahoa FD

Tangipahoa Parish is above Lake Pontchartrain, along I-55. Hammond is home to Southeastern Louisiana University and Ponchatoula is the strawberry capitol.

Hammond, La uses Ferrara fire apparatus. This is their 1998 HME/Ferrara 109' ladder.

This is very rare in my books. Engine 2 is a 1974 PACO/Chevy. This is only the second old Chevy I have come across as well as the second PACO. PACO engines were build in Mobile, AL and is now out of business. Gould VFD in Gretna, LA is the only other department I have found a PACO engine.

Another oldie from Ponchatoula that looks and runs great. This 1966 Mack is still in service. Don't get rid of it guys.

One of the newest trucks with the Ponchatoula VFD is 2000 GMC/Ferrara tanker. Ponchatoula has a large farming and rural area.
