Stations 51-54 - Terrytown VFD

Terrytown includes all of the area south of Gretna from past the West Bank Expressway to the parish line. Large scale homes are located in their district. Neighboring fire companies include Gould, David Crockett, and New Orleans.


One of a couple of Ahrens Foxes owned by the Terrytown VFD in Terrytown, LA. This 1948 model was spotted at the NAS New Orleans behind the base fire station during an airshow a long time ago.

Probably on its last days with the Terrytown (LA) Fire Department. The replacement for this 1974 Mack 50' squrt is the squrt pictured below.

A brand new 2001 Pierce Dash, Engine 518, is the replacement for Engine 548 of the Terrytown (LA) Fire Department. This 65' squrt provides protection for Stone Bridge subdivision in Harvey, LA and surrounding areas.

Truck 519 is a 2001 Ford 550 Super Duty that carries 2000 feet of supply line. Hose reel trucks are unique to this area and Louisiana. This is the only place I have come across such vehicles.

The days are numbered on this 1974 Mack Snorkel with an 85' boom. Ladder 527 is assigned to Station 52 on Carol Sue Dr in Terrytown, LA. This Mack was refurbed by Pierce and carried a Pierce label on the side.

Another 1974 Mack CF Model is engine 526, also assigned to Station 52. Pierce is replacing the Mack.

Rescue 539 is assigned to the Terrytown VFD station on Holmes Blvd, this 1985 Mack/Saulsbury heavy rescue is a beauty and only one of two Saulsbury trucks in the area. Thanks Big "O" for the help with this one.
