A 2006 American LaFrance quint with a 75' LTI ladder was recently acquired by the Clayton Volunteer Fire Company in Clayton, DE. Sorry the day I visited was so crappy, but I will be back. |
A 2003 Ferrara Inferno pumper/rescue was recently added to the many fine pieces found in Clayton. That makes three Ferrara's in their department, the most in the state and probably the whole region of the country. |
My personal favorite is this 1980 Ward LaFrance operated by the Clayton (DE) Fire Company, Station 45. Its a neat piece of apparatus you don't see too often and in especially good shape. |
The second newest piece of equipment in the Clayton (DE) Fire Company, Station 45 is this 2000 Ferrara with a Spartan cab.

Clayton, Delaware is a neat little community situated off of US-13 north of Dover, Delaware. This is a 1990 Simon-Duplex salvage and rescue vehicle. Very nice looking piece of equipment and very well kept. Their company also has several pumpers and a brush truck besides this one.
Clayton also fields a top notch precision marching team with color guard as seen here at the state fire convention held in Dover, DE in 2000.
Station 45 in Clayton has an original 1881 hand drawn pumper that is still functional to this day. The pumper is pushed by members of the Clayton (DE) Fire Company during the state fire convention parade in Dover, Delaware in 2000. |
