Fire Apparatus - Rio Grande

Many thanks for the hospitality shown me during my visit to the Rio Grande Fire Company. I only wish I could extend the same to you when you visit my area.

Truck 7221 is a 1996 Hummer-Fouts Brothers brush truck. Click on image for a larger view.


Ladder 7254 is a 1995 Spartan with a 75' LTI ladder and is classified as a quint. It carries 500 gallons of water and has a pumping capacity of 2,000 gpm. Click on image for a larger view.


Tanker 7243 is a 2000 Pierce Quantum pumper/tanker with a capacity of 2,500 gallons of water and a pump capacity of 2,000 gpm. Click on image for a larger view.


A 1991 Saulbury heavy rescue provides rescue services for the area. It also has the ability to pump water and is equipped with a 1,000 gpm pump and a 750 gallon tank. This versatile apparatus can do it all and is also equipped with a cascade system. According to members of the department, a new truck is in the works. Click on image for a larger view.

Utility 7275, a 2004 Ford F350 took first place for the Utility division in the 2006 NJ State Firefighter's Convention this year in Wildwood, NJ. Click on image for a larger view.
