The ancient belief in angelic beings expands through many cultures. In the West, many associate angels with Christianity, Judaism and the Bible. References to angelic beings can also be found in Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, and Native American teachings. Created prior to these more recent religions, depictions of angelic beings can be found in ancient Egyptian art. In all of these religious cultures, angels are believed to be messengers of God, offering guidance.

Angelic beings appeared to different people in the Bible. They administered wisdom and direction. Jesus told us the Holy Spirit would come to us after his ascension. We do not have much written material for description or function of the Holy Spirit. Could it be the guides who bring us wisdom are enacting the work of the Holy Spirit? I believe this as possible. God tailors Himself for each person. We each see and experience this energy differently. Thus, we can experience the same Essence of God through the Holy Spirit, who assigns us our guides to offer specific teaching.

I frequently sense that I am receiving information through my writing. Sometimes I am not aware this is happening until I go back and reread what I have written. It amazes me to see the wisdom that shines through.
Introduction to My Guardian Angels
In recent years I was introduced to my guardian angels, my guides. I was aware of them in the past but I could only relate to them as my various natures. I was very hesitant to communicate with them because I felt I could do the same with God so a middleman was not necessary. I found assurance that it is good to communicate with them. They show me what path and how fast to travel. They are on both sides of me. God leads the way.

When I ask God to guide me, I don't always understand His response. It is usually given in a symbolic manner and I don't always take time to interpret it into practical use. I receive this same type of guidance from Scripture's teachings of Jesus. I receive direct and understandable interpretation of this from my guides.

"Is it really from spiritual guides or is it from the inner self?" you may ask. I have learned that it is not important to know. As long as I am receiving healthy guidance in decisions and activities, I am assured that it comes ultimately from God, through guides, higher self, inner teacher, or various other names. This energy of God is represented with myriad symbols. It does not matter how I receive, as long as I do something with the wisdom I do receive.

What type of wisdom? How do I do something with it? For one thing, I traveled through life for several years without doing much writing, especially with the substance of personal development. I had prayed; I had searched my mind. No subject for writing came to surface. Shortly after I became aware of my guides, I simply presented the desire to begin writing again. My fingers then, just as with this writing now, wrote until my fingers and arms cramped. I was so excited, I didn't realize I could put it down and come back to it later. I have learned that now.

As I take time to listen, with pen and paper in hand, I ask my spiritual guides to offer revelation of what to write. Whether the writing flows from another part of my consciousness or from angelic beings, I do not know. I do know the thoughts and writing flow effortlessly only after I request this expression.

Several years ago, I had the privilege of studying with a delightful Science of Mind class in California. Besides the Ernest Holmes books we studied, another proved to be very intriguing and worthwhile - Scientific Christian Mental Practice, by Emma Curtis Hopkins. I am currently going through it again and plan to go back to the beginning and study it page-by-page daily. I plan to extract, in writing, areas that I find most beneficial - and then I will journal with my own comments from those daily paragraphs.
