It sometimes seems frustrating when I am seeking my purpose and no acknowledging light bulbs illuminate. I have experienced it many times.

I have learned to relax more quickly when the need-to-do-so signs are there. The blinking light bulbs in my head begin staying lit, making the activities visible. Relaxing takes practice. It is a learned skill to meditate effectively. One of the keys that opens doors is learning to relax.

Sometimes, when I am taking quiet time, if I haven't done so for a few days, an unfavorable thought tries to sneak in through the window. "Why don't I do this more often?" To counteract it, I respond, "I am doing it right now and that is all that matters." The actual doing is the only action that will close the window on the unfavorable thought.

There are many small slots of time for quietness within my house and without. Exercising those slots brings bigger time slots. It doesn't take force. My conscious mind can come to that place daily. It happens by taking one step at a time.

Relaxing and letting my mind focus on blessings brings a deep sense of celebration and fulfillment. Only when I can give my impressions direction do I begin to learn the truths of wisdom and joy.

You Are a Successful Person

Success is a state of mind. We can succeed in anything we do. One step at a time shows the way.

We, as individuals, are the only persons who can define our success. No one else can define it for us.

We cannot define what is success for another person. We may see a person who has attained our definition of success. We proclaim, "he is a successful person," but this is only our perception. It may not be success in the other person's mind.

We can find and achieve success every minute, every five minutes, every hour of our life.

A short term goal enables us to reach a long term goal. Reaching this first goal is all that is necessary for us to consider ourselves successful. Without setting goals, we have no way to determine what success might be.

Success
is a personal matter.
Each inch achieved
makes me a success.
It isn't a matter
of getting there someday.
It is rather
being here today
that makes every moment
a success.
