TRUE SIGHT

Have you seen white lightning split peaceful nights?
I've seen happiness split shattered expanses.

Have you seen hazy rain cloud foggy air?
I've seen sadness cloud bright visions.

Have you seen dark clouds cover strong light?
I've seen anger cover weak minds.

Have you seen clear wind stir dead leaves?
I've seen determination stir newborn dreams.

Have you seen colorful rainbows paint open sky?
I've seen understanding paint shrouded thoughts.

Have you seen grand sun brighten empty days?
I've seen emotion brighten whole lives.

REFLECTION

Oh' reflection must you so often mock hate?
I peer at you yet still you shock me so great.

Is such your fate to always mime thus?
So always to keep rythmic time with us.

Must we always keep such steady time?
Surely this dance is already a crime.

When will one of us be first to misstep?
Then again shall we dance with new found pep.

Has destiny bound us so close at long last?
I look back and see that's a song of the past.

Or is it I who is to be never free?
I know you would not this bond sever for me.

Can it be said we are very tight bound?
I say only with shadow may this light be found.

So who is the shadow and who is more true?
For the life of me I wish sore I knew.
