Well, it's pretty much a short but sweet test comparo. This particular test also featured the new 2005 BMW K1200S, BMW's hypertourer/superbike. Testing was done in the UK at both Bruntingthorpe airfield and the famous Isle of Mann circuit.

In the top speed arena at Bruntingthorpe, the claimed "busa killer" BMW K1200S was only able to muster up an unimpressive 172.01mph. Not quite up to par with the Busa... but will give the CBR1100XX or ZX-11 a run for it's money. Following up the BMW was the Hayabusa which threw down a 178.65mph pass. Not the fastest Busa to ever run at Bruntingthorpe..but it beats the Bimmer by a whooping 6.64mph. Last up was the Kawasaki ZX-12R which blew away all with a 185.09mph run, appearantly hitting the electronic limiter placed on it.

Next up was the 1/4 mile in which the BMW again came up short...very short, with an 11.19 @ 128.95mph run, The difference between the Kawasaki and Suzuki would be quite closer with the Hayabusa laying down a 10.50 @ 140.42 and the Kawasaki ZX-12R puttind down a 10.44 @ 139.36mph.

Acceleration was tested from 0-60mph with similar standings. BMW brought up the rear with a 3.26 sec time, while the Hayabusa and ZX-12R split hairs with the Suzuki coming up with a 2.91 and the Kawasaki inching by at 2.90 seconds.

Braking however was a different story with the Suzuki trailing behind with a 70-0mph distance of 49.20 meters. The ZX-12R bested that with a 48.10 meter distance, but sadly was taken by the BMW's 48.06 meter distance.
