In the twisty stuff, they really liked the Kawasaki. Although the Hayabusa was said to be a good handling bike, the Kawasaki was said, and I quote:
"The Hayabusa has always been a capable handler but the ZX aces it without a doubt when it comes to braking, turning, an firing through the countryside."
It's said that due to the steering geometery of the ZX, it was able to change lines much better midcorner where as with the Suzuki, once you're committed, that's it.
On the engine aspect, the Suzuki's broad and fat powerband hit the spot. The wide spread of power (thanks to the cc's)allowed you to have power on tap just about anywhere in the rpms. The ZX however makes it power up top which forces you to keep the rpm's high to get the most of the motor.
On the brakes, the Kawasaki took top honors. The Suzuki brakes were said to be average, but felt like they required twice the effort to match the Kawasaki's.
On pure feel, the Suzuki was lower, longer, wider than the Kawasaki which made it feel more spacious than the ZX's athletic build.
