- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - The original sketch of the creature. Done with pacer pencil and then with water colour pencil washes that were applied with a brush. I still love this piece, and even though I have failed to render it in any other way, or different media, I'm not totally disheartened about it. Strangely enough, I don't find this very creepy. I love the sad sort of crippled eyes, and the twisted laughing mouth that could be crying in reality. And even though the claws look somewhat menacing - they're not. I got the idea for that shape and look from Raptor dinosaurs.
