She peeped into the kitchen and saw Sylvester stirring a pot of boiling porridge. Noticing her presence, he looked up and smiled at her. “Aren’t you suppose to be in bed?” he asked.
“Come on, I’m okay now. Its already one week.” she complained, peering into the fridge. “God, I’m starving.” She retrieved a tub of ice-cream from the freezer and her eyes glittered with cheerfulness, longing for the first bite.
“Put that back.” Sylvester ordered strictly, pointing his finger at the fridge. “No ice-cream. You’re still recovering from your chicken pox.” rolled her eyes, trying to ignore that fatherly tenor he was possessing.
“Aww… Its always porridge everyday. For the past week I’m suffering!” she sulked, tightening her grip onto the icy tub. “I’m fine now. Life is so meaningless when I couldn’t eat what I like.”
“Put that back.” Sylvester crossed his arms, warning that this was no joke.
Creasing with anger and disappointment, slammed open the fridge and thrust that tub back. “Aright you win!” she shot back grudgingly and sat down at the dining table, her arms folded in a snobbish manner.
::::
“Here’s your food.” Sylvester said, setting a bowl of steaming porridge in front of her. “Careful, its hot.”
nodded, refusing to be charmed by the fact that Sylvester could cook. Tasting the first spoonful of the delicious food made her craved for more. But she was too stubborn to praise him. “I want ice cream!” she pestered persistently, pushing her bowl of porridge away, “I want pizza. I want French fries. I want apple pies. I want potato chips. I want…” she continued chanting.
“Okay. Stop.” Sylvester, who was sitting across the table shut her off with an irritated glare. “I promise I will treat you to a junk-food feast after you recover.” he assured, bringing a smile of satisfaction to her face. “But you must listen to whatever I say now and get well soon.” he interrupted before she could shoot him down.
“Yet another deal.” sighed, annoyed, “You promised me a meal as apology when you scare me with an imaginary rat at the music studio the other time. But where is it?”
“But you’re down with chicken pox before I could even treat you. Take my offer now or leave it.” he challenged with a devilish grin.
“Alright! I promise!” she finally surrendered and stuck out her little finger, “It’s a promise.”
They hooked fingers.
God, this is so childish. Sylvester thought if he was still a five-year old kid.

The night hours fell in but still, was unable to sleep. She tossed and turned in her bed, totally energetic due to the vast amount of rest during the day time. Slipping into her fluffy slippers, she crept out of the room. Time for some mischief, she grinned sneakily.
The whole house was stilled with silence and darkness added fear in her. The big mansion seemed like a scary place. It suddenly caught her imagination of scary movies like ‘Ju-On’ and ‘Sisters’. She shivered at the sickening thought.
decided to head for the kitchen, in hope to ‘smuggle’ some ice-cream back to her room. Those delicious temptations of junk-food were too difficult to reject. She passed by the huge living room and heard shuffling noises. Her breath stopped and she quickly darted behind a partition wall.
The happy mischief in her died off instantly when she saw the back view of someone fumbling through the cabinet. Even in the darkness, could tell that person was definitely not Sylvester. Her throat tightened as nervousness formed upon the realization that burglary was dawning in the house.
The phone wasn’t far away. Just a few steps away from her. But if she were to make further moves, she would certainly attract attention from that burglar. Sylvester! She mentally yelled for him, praying for a miracle that he might come down for a drink. Helplessly, she continued poking her head out as panic spread into her veins, terrifying the crap out of her.
The worse moment strike when the burglar sensed someone’s presence. His head whipped behind him fast before could even react. Electrocutions of terror froze her body. “AHHHH!” she screamed madly and swirled around for an escape but the man pounced on her, slamming her mouth shut with his palms.
“Shut up!” the man with a mask ordered harshly, pulling her back. ’s scream turned barely audible. The man’s palm was suffocating her breath. She wriggled and struggled to break free from him but to no avail. Never in her life had she felt so afraid.
’s heart threatened to batter out of her chest as tears formed. Nevertheless, she continued kicking her legs furiously and writhed hard to get free. Even the man was horror-struck by her full boost of energy.
Better be safe than sorry, the masked man thought. Safety was his priority to riches. He could always prey on other houses. Too afraid that he might awoke any other family members, the man thrust her to the wall and flee out of the window. collapsed onto the floor, weeping hard.
“!” she finally heard Sylvester thundering down the stairs. He ran towards her, pulling her up. “What happened?” he asked, getting anxious upon that petrified whiteness of her face. Her forehead was swollen and she looked frighteningly pale.
“Robber..Theif…” she stammered between tears, unable to regain full control of her shock.
“What?” Sylvester shook her hard, mounting with fretfulness. Her screams earlier on had jolted him from his sleep. Seeing that horrified face of hers, all remains of sleepiness in him were blown away.
“There’s a burglar!” cried out loud, throwing her arms around his neck.

End of chapter…
Okay if you guys did notice, this chapter is taken from one of my EG stories. I apologize to those who have read the EG one. Will come out with more surprises for the next chapter.. I’m now rather worried over some stuffs.
By the way, here’s something I had posted in the SI forum but I will post it here too. Just my views about Sly last night. :
‘Enthusiastic. Happy-go-lucky. Relaxed. Take-it-at-my-own-stride. Hyper-active.
I can't find the exact word or phrase to describe Sly's attitude and behavior during last night's spectaculars. All I can say is, last night show was the most competitive one I have ever seen. It was all about getting into the grand finals. Everyone seemed so competitive and eager to put on their very best. One even appeared self-conscious and the atmosphere was sort of tensed up.
Everyone seemed to be rather 'ambitious' and driven to put up their very best so as to get into the finals. Everyone wanted to perform up to standard. I must admit that the other 2 were better than him.
Perhaps, Sly 's mindset last night was - 'This might most probably be my last time performing in SI and having my fans cheering for me in SI.' So instead of being too conscious of his performance, he chose a different tactic. He showed the happy, cheerful and optimistic side of him. I guess he wanted to leave a positive and joyful impression to his fans
To him, the purpose of last night's show was more of connecting, communicating, and having fun with his fans rather than being so concerned about getting into the grand finals. Don't you guys think that of all 3 contestants, he was the most cheerful, carefree and relaxed one? He brought so much joy to his fans and himself I feel glad for him too.
In addition, Sly seemed so talkative and hyper last night. LOL.. damn humorous of him. He looked like it doesn't matters to him if he gets to be the Spore Idol or not. It was something that makes me admire him. I must say that his jollity had somewhat managed to brighten up the atmosphere and bring the tension down. Also, he managed to make the show a little livelier and not so uptight and stressful.
I like him last night. We can see the most true, cheeky and happy side of Sly.
And now to me, it doesn't matter (but I will still vote for him) to me if he gets into the grand finals (though I will be sad if he gets the boot). Because deep inside, he is already my Spore Idol. I feel proud and happy for him to have made it so far.
The judges are disappointed with his performance. But not me. Instead, his performances last night was my most favourite compared to his previous ones. Why? Because he looks like he was having such a good time and he appeared so happy I even smiled to myself.
I salute him for his joyous and cheery attitude last night. I like him for he doesn't seem to put so much stress in him and wanted to just have fun and joy with his fans.
Though I dislike people slamming him, but there's nothing I can do with thise anti-slys. With black comes white. We can't stop what they want to say about him. Just like they can't stop our support towards Sly. I guess those Antis only make Sly fans unite more. So its kind of a blessing in disguise lah.
As long as we Sly fans like him and give him our utmost support, I guess he would be contented and happy.
Once again I must say, he was great last night! I don't mean in his performance. But in his optimistic attitude and joyful behavior despite those criticism from the judges.
Sly, you rock!! ^^,’
PS: I might be posting another chapter later in the day. That is, if time allows me to. (^.^)v … …
