This was a genuine club. We met every week except for a few rare occasions. This seemed to be a club of twelve regulars. Sometimes a few were missing and other times people would come in out of curiosity. We sat in the Philosophy conference room and philosophized using the Socratic method: dialoging. We conducted arguments, not fights, and everyone walked away with a different view of the subject at hand than when they had entered. Through the email list proc, every Monday without fail, an attachment covering the subject to be discussed was released for Wednesday's meeting.

Did this club forge relationships? Don't know, didn't help me. Did I feel that I was part of something? Not really, but in my mind it was a good way to while away the hours and have a conversation about something that had substance. Would it change the world? Probably not, but this hour together did give us the opportunity to flex our intellectual muscles and practice philosophizing.
