The concept of weaving a tale through the use of maps, bus schedules, train schedules, and plane schedules illustrating what the old man in a gas station once said, “You can’t get there from here” continues to intrigue me. The man in the gs station was referring to a travel destination. My re-contextualization would actually be a tale in the trials and tribulations of trying to obtain a goal, also a destination, that when it seems you are ever so close, inexplicably someone pulls the football away so you never kick the field goal (Peanuts reference). The theme also plays well with Michael Palin's attempt to travel around the world in 80 days. Amusing to watch, but not so amusing when you're living through it.
