This is where remediation comes in. Artists have used remediation for centuries especially during the Renaissance period sometimes copying previous master works into their own works in order to create continuity. In modern times, Salavdor Dali uses remediation through much of his works extracting small portions of his painting and making that the focus of the new painting while placing the major focus of the painting that is being remeditated dropped almost as an afterthought into the new painting. It is this use of remediation used throughout a website that assists the consumer in making sense of the individual webpages.
