One cannot possibly "think" inside or outside of the box without sustenance. The tune playing above my head is from the musical “Oliver! (Oliver Twist). “This” tune does not come by accident as while I am working on the 324 Patent Communicative Objective One and the 407 OED Communicative Objective One, I am also working on Shipka’s histories of “this” space. For my 324 history, “this” space is a fifteen week study/argument about food on the UMBC campus and how take out food is marketed. In essence, all eight of the various communicative projects/activities created within the “Shipka Spaces” become kinetic, referring to and from each other, one giving to the next and one taking from the other. All the projects begin to work in tension with me as the designer and I, in tension with the objectives. All the objectives “share” the same “space”… my mind and the external space in which I travel.
