My other reason for rejecting the group idea is that this will only create more tension in the room. I am under the impression this activity could get quite competitive; therefore, I figure let our peers decide who they want to sit next to. Most likely, people will sit with those they are most comfortable with and because of the way the computer lab is set up, people are going to be peering over at each other's screens to watch their search techniques. I am figuring about half-way into this game searches will become less individual and more team oriented according to which computer cluster our peers are sitting at. The computers are arranged in groups of four to a desk so as the game progresses, these clusters will probably begin to form research teams. Later on, Naphtali seconds my motion because this would be in the "spirit" of free market competition and would enforce one of the points in the reading.
